Our team values

Intellectual Curiosity

We have a genuine interest in learning; poking and probing and finding stuff out is what we’re made of.

We’re independent, we’re opinionated and we own up to our stuff; there's no hiding behind three layers of management.

We work in an open space, both literally and figuratively, knowledge is shared, initiative is encouraged, options are debated, decisions are public.

We support each other and win together; we give credit to individuals and take credit as a team.

Engineering culture

Engineering culture

We are tool builders at heart and our platform is built by developers for developers. Building high-quality software is part of our DNA and that’s what we always strive for.

We have daily standups, weekly demos and constantly discuss software architecture and review pull requests. We also developed a strong devops culture and encourage everyone to pull their weight when it comes to deploying the code they write.

Meet our city

The startup capital of Belgium

Ghent is Belgium's startup capital and a fabulous, growing university-city in the Flemish-speaking part of Belgium

The Ghent startup scene is supported by the high-tech research and incubation center iMec in whose accelerator Waylay also started its journey in 2014.
